This pretty, slim Podencahündin goes by the name of Niki. She is 1.5 years old (as of mid-November 2011), has a shoulder height of 40 inches and weighs 8 kg.
She was one of her gentlemen hunters much beaten for his opinion, was not fit as a hunting dog. Although Podencos are hunting dogs of this engine is not all equally strong. Niki would apparently prefer to run around and play. He did not care at all about this lovely winds, they got on a terrace, where neither sun nor rain had protection.
A neighbor was able to watch that stuff and talked with the hunter to it. He was probably quite glad to be rid of Niki, not just because she was good for hunting, and handed her the dog with no problems.
Niki is a very good dog, she gets along well with people and other dogs. She is very straightforward and very grateful for every contribution.
The staff of the shelter Arconatura in Linares (Andalusia) press their fingers crossed that they will soon find a home and finally get the life that they deserve.
